COLORADO - All contested criminal convictions in Larimer and Jackson counties that could benefit from updated DNA testing will be reviewed by District Attorney Larry Abrahamson, he announced Monday. Legal experts said that could amount to a significant number of cases, depending on how far back the review goes. Specific details, including the number of cases and who would pay for the review, were not immediately released. And Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck said he worried such a review could overwhelm the already-overworked Colorado Bureau of Investigation. Read more.
