| NHDOC opens next training session |

NEW HAMPSHIRE – Last week, the New Hampshire Department of Corrections opened its next staff pre-service training program at its Corrections Academy. Thirty-three staff are attending the class, which will hold its graduation ceremony on March 14. Participants receive training in offender management, inter-personal communication, defensive tactics, and heath and fitness issues. “The Corrections Academy provides new employees with the basic skills needed to work in a prison environment,” NHDOC Commissioner William Wren says. “I am pleased to welcome the new staff to the Department.” Upon completion of the class, staff will be assigned to different NHDOC prison or office facilities. |
