| Employees speak out about closing |

NEW YORK - At noon on Wednesday, employees at the Hudson Correctional Facilty had another chance to voice their opinions about the prison's potential closing. This past Tuesday night, employees of the facility came face to face with the man who recommended that their prison close. Hudson is one of four facilities that Brian Fischer, the Commissioner of Corrections, and the Governor have recommended to shut down. The plan is said to save the state more than $10-million in this year alone. Fischer says he plans to close the Hudson facility within 12 months, and that means the loss of more than 275 jobs in the City. On Tuesday, hundreds gathered hoping to change its fate. Read more.
