| Kansas creates oversight committee |

KANSAS - House Speaker Melvin Neufeld has created a special oversight committee that will focus on the state's prison system. The panel of 6 Republicans and three Democrats will be responsible for a full review of all correctional facilities. It will be headed by Republican Tim Owens of Overland Park.
