RHODE ISLAND – The Rhode Island Department of Corrections honored 16 of its employees and four “Friends of the Department” for their outstanding contributions during 2007 in its Annual Employee Awards Ceremony.
Several Department officials were on hand to distribute the awards to the following staff:
- Karen Reilly, Pharmacy Technician: John J. Moran Award
- Joseph Rhodes, Community Program Counselor: Community Corrections Award
- Paul Gutowski, Human Resources Analyst III: Exemplary Service Award
- Eric Laurianno, Correctional Officer: CO of the Year Award
- Richard Meunier, CO Lieutenant (shown above): Supervisor of the Year Award
- Julian Robinson, Correctional Officer: Distinguished Service Award
- Warden Nancy Bailey and the Major Exercise Design Team: Teamwork Award
The Friends of the Department Awards recognized individuals from outside RIDOC who made a significant contribution to the Department’s mission. The recipients were Edith Lowe, for filming and editing the RIDOC Virtual History Tour, Lisa D’Agostino of the Department of Labor and Training, Courtney Henderson of Brown University for coordinating a Christmas charity gift drive, and Anthony Balkun of Rhode Island Hospital.
