| Vendors directed to legislature for payment |

GUAM - The Department of Corrections (DOC) urged medical vendors to go to the Guam Legislature and ask senators to help the government of Guam pay its prior year obligations. DOC Acting Director J.B. Palacios said this is "the only recourse" he sees to ensure that clinics will be paid the $1.1 million the department owes for the services rendered to inmates. Palacios noted that a provision in the current budget law prohibits govGuam from using existing allocations to pay prior year obligations. Read more.
