| Postsecondary education bill approved |

UTAH - The Senate Education Committee today approved a bill funding postsecondary education for 479 prison inmates currently enrolled in classes provided by colleges and universities in the Utah System of Higher Education. Rep. Jack Draxler, R-North Logan, sponsor of HB86, told committee members his bill does not expand existing educational opportunities for Utah's inmate population. Read more.
