| Sewage spill from San Quentin |

CALIFORNIA - About 1,500 gallons of raw sewage was released into the San Francisco Bay today near Point San Quentin, Marin County officials said. The sewage came from San Quentin Prison, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office. Department of Corrections officials have taken action to contain the spill, and are also conducting water testing in the area, authorities said. The public should not go in the water near San Quentin until the area is deemed safe, authorities said.
