| Inmate charged with falsely accusing officer |

An inmate at the Hillsborough County Jail in Manchester, N.H., was charged Tuesday with falsely reporting that an officer raped her twice this month. Authorities said Jennifer Dow, 25, of Concord, N.H., admitted making up the reports after being told videotapes of the cell block showed no corrections officers entering her cell at the times she reported being assaulted. In a court affidavit, police reported Dow said she had been harassed by other inmates and made up the rape reports so she'd be transferred to another jail. Dow was a Merrimack County inmate being held in Manchester pending trial on a probation violation. |
