| County to kick off regional prison talks |

PENNSYLVANIA - Northumberland County is interested in discussing the feasibility of a regional prison with its neighbors. At Tuesday’s Northumberland County Commissioners meeting, chairman Frank Sawicki said the county doesn’t need a new prison right now but believes it might only be able to get another 10 years out of the current facility, built in 1876.
