CANADA - A Northwest Territories corrections official said an incident at Inuvik's young offender facility, in which a teenage girl was shocked with a Taser stun gun, was handled properly by staff involved. The incident happened in March 2007 but became public this week, when Inuvik Twin Lakes MLA Robert C. McLeod asked Justice Minister Jackson Lafferty about it in the legislative assembly.
