| County to get sewage grinder |

IOWA - The Dakota County Board of Corrections put the resolution of problems with the jail's sewage system on the fast track Tuesday. Commissioners gave Terry Kern, director of corrections, the authority to determine the best of three models of sewage grinders suitable for the jail and to order it. Kern pledged to get the best one for the money, but said he wouldn't get the least expensive if it won't do the job. The mandate in no way lets the new jail's construction manager or architect off the financial hook for the system they chose for the facility, Chairman Bill McLarty said.
