| Work-release facility negotiations start |

WASHINGTON - Construction on a work-release facility for state and local jail inmates could begin next year, Chelan County Sheriff Mike Harum says. Discussions with state officials have focused on a 200-bed facility to be built somewhere in the Wenatchee area, said Harum, who said he was negotiating to bring such a facility to Chelan County.
