NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA - A number of inmates at the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility have been tested for various strains of hepatitis after the mistaken distribution of dirty razors. The Halifax Chronicle Herald reports that inmates at the Dartmouth jail are now receiving vaccinations after being tested last month. The report says an estimated 36 inmates used the dirty razors in December. On Dec. 29, [officers] handed out razors to inmates in four sections of the west wing right around shower time. But they weren't fresh razors. Two inmates who contacted the Chronicle Herald last week said one of the guards mistakenly picked up a clear plastic bag containing used razors instead of new ones, and sent them around to inmates in those sections.
