| Incarcerated moms get parenting help |

CALIFORNIA - A new program beginning Thursday will offer parenting classes and information kits to women prisoners at Santa Clara County's Elmwood Jail, which includes 80 percent of the 550 women incarcerated. In addition to women who are already mothers, 18 incarcerated women gave birth last year while 30 woman prisoners are pregnant at any given time, according to Santa Clara County Supervisor Liz Kniss.
