MISSISSIPPI - A state Senate bill that will require employers to verify the legal status of foreign workers before hiring them or face losing their business licenses and state contracts gained final approval in the House of Representatives on Wednesday. Sen. Michael Watson, R-Pascagoula, wrote the bill and said there are currently six other Senate immigration bills up for debate in the House. Read more.
