| Sheriff to discuss prison health plan |

FLORIDA - Sheriff Ed Dean will speak to a group of corrections leaders, health center officials and philanthropists about the Marion County Jail's new medical care model at a conference in Washington, D.C., next week. He is invited to speak at the conference because of "what he's shown in Marion County, what a leader he is in the field, and how much he understands getting bang for the buck for taxpayers' dollars," said Steve Rosenberg, president of the nonprofit group Community Oriented Correctional Health Services, which is one of the main sponsors of the meeting.
