| Community director to step down |

ALABAMA - Six months after he was hired, Howard Eddy is expected to step down as director of a community corrections project that has not yet launched. Eddy said Monday that he would leave next month, when Baldwin County Sheriff Huey "Hoss" Mack Jr. officially takes over from a specially created board that was originally designed to oversee the program. At only its second meeting, the board created to oversee the community corrections center in Baldwin County agreed to delegate most of the power to the Sheriff's Office. Read more.
