CALIFORNIA - Local officials are seeking to temper public concern over recent reports that it intends to build a "re-entry" prison in Yolo County. Yolo County administrators are concerned residents may have been confused by recent news reports suggesting the county is going to become home to a re-entry facility for state prison inmates in the last year of their sentences. Officials said Monday the county has merely approved an "agreement of cooperation" with the state Department of Corrections to "consider" building such a facility. Read more.
