| Prison board abolished |

PENNSYLVANIA - McKean County commissioners have abolished the prison board and installed the county sheriff as the jail warden. Brad Mason will remain as sheriff while he runs the jail. Officials say the move would save nearly $80,000 and is aimed at ending turmoil surrounding the lockup. Last month, a jail [officer] was suspended and charged with having inappropriate sexual contact with a female inmate.
