Reentry initiative helps Mich. inmates

MICHIGAN - More than 650, 000 people a year leave U.S. prisons, and most return to poor urban neighborhoods.

Once home, they either find jobs, pay taxes and support themselves and their families, or they return to crime and eventually to prison, where they each cost taxpayers more than $30,000 a year. Read more.
