| Officials unimpressed by warders protest |

JAMAICA - Prison officials have refused to back down from warders who are protesting against the arrest and prosecution of four warders assigned to the Armadale Juvenile Correctional Centre in Alexandria, St Ann for alleged possession of contraband. Last week, the prison warders withdrew support for all events sponsored by the Department of Correctional Services (DCS), complaining that the DCS had breached protocol by referring the matter to the police, before holding an internal inquiry.
