| Commissioners to hear consultant proposal |

NEVADA - The Lyon County Board of Commissioners, at its meeting Thursday, will hear a presentation/proposal from a consultant for services related to the planned Lyon County Jail expansion project. The presentation will be given by Carl R. Griffith & Associates, Inc. (CRG), representatives Dick Kirkland and Dave Kieckbusch, listed as public safety and jail administration specialists, and will include an initial assessment, determination of sites and a costs analysis of the project. Kirkland's name might be familiar as he previously has served as Chief of Police in Reno, Washoe County Sheriff and then Director of the Nevada Department of Public Safety. The biographical information for Kieckbusch on the Griffith website says he has 30 years experience in enforcement, administration ad corrections, with expertise in jail management and personnel issues. Carl R. Griffith & Associates, which reportedly has offices in Texas and Nevada, gave Lyon County officials a presentation on March 3, to County Manager Dennis Stark, County Engineer Dick Faber, Commisioner Don Tibbals, and Lyon County Sheriff's Captain Kathy Heston, who is in command over the jail.
