| Law may OK personal Tasers |

MICHIGAN - Legislation pending in the state House would allow anyone with a concealed weapons permit to pack another weapon -- a Taser. The legislation, introduced by state Rep. Rick Jones, R-Grand Ledge, in late February, in essence would put the less-than-lethal weapons on the open market. Michigan would join 43 other states that allow members of the general public to carry the weapons. State Reps. John Espinoza, D-Croswell, and Daniel Acciavatti, R-Chesterfield Township, are among a long list of legislators co-sponsoring the legislation. Read more.
