| Juvenile Corrections Met With Local Members |

IDAHO - Six months ago the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections (IDJC) met with local members of the juvenile justice system. Tuesday, they met again to see how local community members were making progress on the issues discussed at the first meeting. Those included having families more involved with their juvenile offenders, giving the perpetrator a chance to have empathy for their victims, and re-integrating the offender back into society. IDJC Director Larry Callicut says, "We get the other five percent that come into our custody. But the rest is done out here in the community, so obviously, if there's family work that's going to be done, they're here in these communities. Read more.
