| CCA quarterly profit rises to $35 million |

TENNESSEE - Corrections Corp. of America, a provider of corrections management services to government agencies, said Tuesday its first-quarter profit rose to $35 million, or 28 cents a share, from $32.6 million, or 26 cents, a year earlier. Total revenue rose to $388.4 million from $350.5 million. Per-share profit matched the average estimate of analysts surveyed by FactSet. The company sees per-share profit for the second quarter to be in the range of 28 cents to 30 cents a share with 2008 profit forecast to be as much as $1.28. |
