OREGON - Just short of a year after filling the position of Curry County Sheriff, Allen Boice has accepted a position in Douglas County as the Executive Community Corrections Director. The incumbent Sheriff Boice, who has held the top cop position in the county since Mark Metcalf was recalled in May of 2007, leaves after 24 years in the Sheriff's department. Read more.
