FLORIDA - State prosecutors say seven corrections officers in Palm Beach County are under investigation for abusing overtime payments. According to the sheriff's office, all seven worked at the county jail. The officers have been placed on administrative leave with pay. Exactly how much was overpaid still is under investigation. Investigators estimate the officers defrauded the agency of as much as $300,000 in the past year. The police union representing them plans to fight the charges. Read more.
