ILLINOIS - Hello, welcome to Chez Kane County Jail. We realize you may not be happy to be here, but rest assured we are thrilled you (allegedly) committed your crime in Kane County. Our luxurious new six-story facility is located just off of Route 38 in St. Charles Township, next to the Kane County Courthouse, for easy access to your various status hearings, trials and eventual sentencings. We are well aware of the complaints from residents of our previous facility on Fabyan Parkway -- leaky ceilings, outdated supervision design, soggy cookies, guests shuffled off to other counties. We believe our new $56 million building, which is being finished up this week after more than a year of construction, includes the latest in jail-safety planning with very few of the comforts of home.
