| Jail visit policy change sought |

PENNSYLVANIA - A Somerset man wants the warden of the Somerset County Jail to change his policy on inmate visits. Dean “Sam” Blough, 42, admits he has an extensive criminal record. He said he was convicted in 1992 of driving under the influence. In October 2006, he was sentenced to 60 days in jail for driving without a license. A check of his criminal record through the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts shows he has arrests dating back to 1985. In addition to two counts of driving under the influence, he was arrested for trespassing, harassment and stalking, disorderly conduct, receiving stolen property, drug paraphernalia possession and multiple bad check charges. Blough is on disability and is currently hospitalized for a perforated ulcer. The friend he wanted to visit is in jail for a parole violation, also related to driving under the influence. Read more.
