Inmates returning to pick up litter

OHIO - Inmate litter patrols are coming back to Over-the-Rhine. The Hamilton County Solid Waste District, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful and 3CDC will pay for two daytime crews of inmates supervised by Hamilton County Corrections officers to work in Over-the-Rhine beginning in 60 days or less.

The crews were removed from the Cincinnati neighborhood in December along with regular sheriff's patrols because of county budget cuts and a failed sales tax increase. The litter patrols continued to work on other county roads and highways. Read more.
