| Woman named as undersheriff |

WASHINGTON - In the first major management change in more than 20 years, Pierce County Sheriff Paul Pastor has reshuffled his command staff and created a No. 2 position in the agency. Eileen Bisson, formerly chief of the Administrative Support Bureau, will fill the new post of undersheriff, starting today. The appointment comes with a new badge and a $7,000 yearly raise to $115,931. “She’s a brave woman and willing to do this,” Pastor said last week. “It’s considerable more responsibility with not much more money.” Previously, Pastor had three bureau chiefs reporting to him. He’s taken one of those chiefs and created the position of undersheriff. The other chiefs run the Operations and Corrections bureaus. Read more.
