OREGON - The Oregon Department of Corrections recognized employees at Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution in Pendleton and Two Rivers Correctional Institution in Umatilla in recognition of outstanding accomplishments, dedication and commitment. EOCI nurse Robert Smith received the Award of Valor, one of the department's highest awards. EOCI Capt. Jeri Taylor and Michael Mathisen, food service manager at Two Rivers, each earned the department's outstanding service award. The department presented Troy Holman of EOCI and Vincent Trevino of Two Rivers awards for Institution Correctional Officer of the Year.
