| Sheriff loses emergency dispatch center |

KENTUCKY - Responding to sexual harassment and other allegations against Sheriff Mike Deatrick, the Harrison County commissioners today removed the county’s emergency 911 dispatch center from Deatrick’s control. “We think this is in the best interest of the county,” said James Goldman, president of the board of commissioners. “In light of the recent allegations and the complaints this week … we just felt it would be best if we removed this from the sheriff.” Read more.
