| Nurseries for inmate moms coming |

TRINIDAD - Pregnant convicts can expect to have a nursery in jail to take care of their newborns, along with facilities for children to visit imprisoned parents. These were some of the projects promised to be undertaken this year, as announced by Minister of State in the National Security Ministry Donna Cox at Tuesday's passing out parade of Batch 350 at the Golden Grove Prison, Arouca. A correctional complex is scheduled to be built in Central Trinidad as well as one in Tobago, in addition to the implementation of a parole system. Cox, who delivered the feature address, said that the plans were all part of the transformation of the Prison Service. Read more.
