| Community corrections limits OK'd |

COLORADO - More than 100 former prisoners are awaiting placement in a community corrections facility in Denver to help them transition back into society, and the number is expected to grow. But under a compromise plan approved by the City Council on Monday night, Denver will allow only 210 more beds during the next 10 years. "It sounds like a contradiction. But really what it's saying is that Denver is going to bear its fair share but we expect (neighboring cities) to step up," said Council President Michael Hancock. Read more.
