INDIANA - Marion County's director of community corrections has resigned after months of worry that the agency's board was trying to oust him. Brian Barton, who has overseen the Community Corrections agency for 11 years, sparred publicly with fellow Republicans, notably Prosecutor Carl Brizzi. They criticized Barton's leadership of the agency, which runs programs including home detention, work release and alcohol monitoring on a $12 million budget.
