Officer-inmate ratio improves

MISSISSIPPI - The Harrison County Sheriff's Department is down about 15 [officers] now compared to the 50 it needed six months ago.

With the new hires, the officer-inmate ratio is now 1-to-7, Sheriff Melvin Brisolara said Monday, the lowest it's been in years. Read more.
