| 'Public Enemies' to film in Ill. prisons |

ILLINOIS - Film crews for the Johnny Depp movie "Public Enemies" are slated to come to Joliet and Crest Hill next week and maybe as soon as Monday. "Public Enemies," scheduled for release in the summer of 2009, depicts the FBI hunt for 1930s gangsters John Dillinger, "Baby Face" Nelson and "Pretty Boy" Floyd. Depp, who plays Dillinger, is expected to be in town. Other stars in the movie include Channing Tatum, who plays Pretty Boy Floyd, and Christian Bale in the role of Melvin Purvis, the FBI official who led the manhunt that ended in Dillinger being gunned down by federal agents outside of a Chicago theater. Crews have been filming the movie in the Chicago area and other Midwestern locales for weeks and had been expected in Joliet at some point. Read more.
