TEXAS - Five corrections officers from the French Robertson Unit got a break from the usual Thursday night when they became waiters at the Texas Roadhouse in Abilene. The corrections officers were the only local law enforcement representatives to participate in the "Tip a Cop" night, part of a fundraising event for the Special Olympics, said Elizabeth Bye, area director for the Special Olympics Texas.
