MINNESOTA - For more than three decades, the two aging houses in the shadow of St. Cloud’s state prison have offered a haven for troubled teens with nowhere else to go. Now, OK House is facing an uncertain future — and likely closure — after two of the four counties that operate it have decided to end their support. Benton County voted in early June to withdraw at the end of the year from the joint powers agreement that controls the OK House, after a similar vote by Sherburne County in April. That leaves just Kanabec and Mille Lacs counties, which are expected to decide this week whether to continue their support. Read more.
