| State extends prison health pact |

WYOMING - The Wyoming Department of Corrections has renewed for two more years its contract with Prison Health Services Inc. to provide health care for all inmates in department custody in Wyoming. PHS has been serving the state agency since July 1, 2005. The new contract, to become effective July 1, is for about $32 million for two years. The current contract is for one year at a cost of $16 million, said Melinda Brazzale, public information officer for the Department of Corrections. Under the new contract, the company will expand services for inmates with dual diagnosis and special needs, department Director Bob Lampert said. Read more.
