| Guam liable for suicide |

GUAM - The Superior Court of Guam has ruled that the Department of Corrections and the government of Guam are liable for wrongful death in the suicide of an inmate. Judge Steven Unpingco ruled that the Department of Corrections failed to take reasonable measures to prevent the suicide of Donald Agualo because the risk of him committing suicide was known or should have been known, according to court documents. Agualo had a long history of mental illness and had attempted suicide on more than one occasion, court documents state. Read more.
