New fears for staff safety

NEW ZEALAND - There are fresh fears for the safety of staff working in New Zealand prisons after the vicious beating of a [CO] by a gang member. Documents obtained by ONE News describe how a Rimutaka prison [officer] was found in a pool of blood after being bashed with a broom.

"This attack was cowardly. That's the only word you can use it was vicious and cowardly," says Bevan Hanlon, Corrections Association President. Read more.
