| Officers, Sherriff ink three-year pact |

MASSACHUSETTS - In what was described as a “harmonious and focused” negotiation by Sheriff Thomas Hodgson, an agreement has been reached on a new three-year contract with corrections officers at the Bristol County House of Correction. Hodgson was joined by Massachusetts Correction Officers Federated Union President Steve Kenneway and correction officers union steward Bruce Duarte Jr. to announce the agreement Thursday that will provide the 252 union members with 5 percent pay raises each year over the length of the deal. The agreement came after about an hour of discussions that took place two weeks ago. It is the first raise the Bristol County officers have received in six years, Hodgson said.
