TENNESSEE - Parole and probation officers throughout the state are being recognized this week for their hard work. Gov. Phil Bredesen declared July 13-19 as annual Probation and Parole Officers and Community Corrections Officer week. Charles Traughber, chairman of the Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole, said the work these women and men do helps to keep communities safe and hold offenders accountable for their crimes.
