| OpEd: Secure jail is Sheriff's legacy |

OHIO - It gives me a great deal of satisfaction to know that I am leaving the citizens of Ross County with a jail that is much more secure than it was when I took the oath of office more than 12 years ago. I know that sounds ironic after what the critics have had to say about my administration. John Parsons made national headlines with his escape two years ago; we had one prisoner walk away from the booking area a year ago. Of course, I can point out that both were recaptured, but I know the responsibility rests on my shoulders. The buck stops here. Read more.
