| Ohio sees success with rehabilitation focus |

OHIO - Ohio's prisons director says a program that allows prison inmates to earn high school equivalency diplomas and offers classes on how to stay debt-free is showing signs of reducing recidivism. The Short Term Offender program began in April 2007 and includes separate housing and anger management training. It's a change from other state prison rehabilitation programs because it focuses on inmates with less than three months to go on their sentence. Read more.
