| Officer’s tenacity pays off |

MISSOURI - Kelley Burke, a probation and parole officer at the state’s medium-security prison in Cameron, was recognized as the department’s employee of the month for preventing a felon’s parole. “Ms. Burke was instrumental in increasing public safety and proving the value of community partnerships,” said Larry Crawford, director of the department. Ms. Burke worked with law enforcement agencies to research and verify facts involving allegations that an inmate committed additional offenses before being imprisoned.
