| Computer glitch delays inmate processing |

OHIO - About 120 prisoners were waiting to be processed Monday in Cleveland's city jail following a computer software crash last week. The machine used to electronically collect fingerprints of felony prisoners malfunctioned July 21. Jail [officers] have had to manually roll the prints using ink and cards causing a major backlog at the jail. "The manual process takes eight times longer that the machine," said Robert Taskey, Commissioner of Corrections. "It's a major breakdown we've never experienced before." Read more.
